Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 Description

Another year, another season of the world's most gentlemanly sport. Another season of golf means, of course, that another Tiger Woods PGA Tour game has hit the green. New to this year's game is Hank Haney. Hank Haney, if you didn't know, is the man that coached Tiger Woods all the way to greatness. You're in good hands. Haney will pop up as players progress through the game, offering advice on how to drive hard and straight and how to perfect your banana ball. If anyone's going to help you win the FedEx Cup, it's this guy. Once Haney's helped you get up to scratch, you might want to try out the new club tuner to optimise your swing. You'll be able to tweak your wedges, irons, woods and driver, but you'll have to weigh up the risks of getting premium club performance against ease of use. In this year's game you'll find new locations and courses including Gary Player Country Club in South Africa, Wentworth Country Club in England, Sheshan Golf Club in China, Wolf Creek in Nevada and Bay Hill Country Club in Florida. Populating those courses, you'll find pros such as Si Re Pak, Darren Clarke, Nick Dougherty and Rory McIlroy. In the game's next-gen iterations, players will find an enhanced version of the EA GamerNet, providing them with instant challenges peppering the course and the chance to climb the daily leaderboard. Also new is the inclusion of Simultaneous Play, which will allow up to four players online to take their shots all at once, making for a faster game of golf.

Tiger Woods 08 was very good ..... 09 is even better! Enjoyable and accurate gameplay - i've found a couple of minor issues but not that distract from the game or cause inaccuracy - just little niggles. Great game! Rent it ....... or even Buy it - I did!

Well i was surprised,having played/owned the last 4-5 years worth on Xbox 360,Ps2 and the old faithful Xbox i was expecting another dreary casual knockabout with the floating players and iffy ball physics (i.e ball throwing itself in cup when stopped near hole.) But there is enough new twists and turns to give this a thorough play through.The enhanced GamerTag points are a good challenge and there are some er.......interesting variety of course as well as the old faithful PEBBLE BEACH,HARBORTOWN ad others.But Wolf creek,WOH what a beasty.There are some tweaks and turns in the club department now allowing you to tailor make each individual club,novel but not essential.E.A seem to have tweaked the graphics engine as its not so drawn out now waiting for each hole to load.Overall i personally would give 8.5 out of 10 even perhaps edging towards a 9 out of 10 because the Tiger Challenges are more enjoyable with a couple of new mini type side quests needing doing.Overall a very competant title and one i am enjoying a lot at the moment and for the forseeable future.Cheers from the BigOne
