Ninja Gaiden 2 Description

Ryu is back, and he's taking his ninja-ing activities from New York to Tokyo to the Netherworld (the hellish one, not the saucy one) and back again. It's Ninja Gaiden 2! As far as plot goes... well, there is one. Ryu's on a mission to avenge his clan or some such thing. The future of the human race is at stake. All in a day's work for an awesome ninja. We all know, however, that the point is really fast, bloody gameplay, and that's what we're set to get. The game - which follows up Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox back in 2004 - will feature a brand spanking new gameplay engine built from scratch by Team Ninja and developer Tomonobu Itagaki, creator of the Dead or Alive franchise. It also comes with a new auto-health regeneration system, a mechanic set to subtly shift the way you play. The biggie, however, is the new obliteration techniques. Nowadays, dismembering a foe isn't enough to stop them dead. The problem with that is that they'll attempt to suicide bomb you. This is why you'll want to use an obliteration technique - different weapons come with different moves - to wipe them off the face of the planet. Also new to the series this time round is the cleverly-titled 'Ninja Cinema', which will enable players to record their exploits and share them over Xbox Live. You'll even be able to indulge your inner film noir fan with a black and white filter. Live by the sword. Make a big red mess. Avenge your clan. Do it in whatever order you like.

good game not for the faint hearted or part-timers action is solid and can play it for ages

Game is good and slightly easier that the first one. Graphix is better and many more ninjas attack at once. Level 9 boss with the dragons just to difficult

Poor camera, uninspiring locales, poor storyline, excellent combat and cheap enemy moves all accumulate to give a score of 6.5/10.

This is not a game that holds all the charm and drive of its predessesor. Although it plays very very well and the environments are very sexy, these two points alone cannot hold the game up. The plot is just plain daft, the voice acting and character modles are very sterotypical apart from the main protagonists.....so expect biig boobs on every woman. One of the most annoying things I came across was how it all starts, A leather strap bound and extremly boob heavy with dual high power pistols is looking for Ryo (you) and gets kidnapped..........thats it, with some mention of the Arch-lord and nobody knows what it is anyway nor it is explained. In the first one your village gets attacked and friends and familiy die around you...now thats how you start a game, it makes you want to go out on a revenge marathon. I am let down with this, Give the game a go yourself and draw your own conclusion. For those of you who have played the original game you may feel the same as I do.

A decent adventure game, which can be difficult at times, but rewarding. Achievements aren't too bad for this game, and graphics are v nice.
