Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus Description

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops took the quintessential Metal Gear console experience and made it, well... portable. Portable Ops Plus takes that experience and builds on it. Okay, a quick refresher: the year is 1970 and follows the dubiously-named Naked Snake as he sets up Foxhound. His aim? To take down the treacherous Fox unit which has started a nasty revolt in South America. Players will learn more about characters such as Para-Medic, Major Zero and Sigint, as well as bearing witness to Snake's greatest loss, an event which gets the ball rolling for later happenings in the Metal Gear Solid timeline. Portable Plus takes that experience and moves it to a new level of multiplayer shooty-ness. On offer are a host of new multiplayer maps, the opportunity to jump in with new characters - including Raiden (MGS2), Roy Campbell, and Old Snake (MGS4) - and a new single-player mode called Infinity Mission. Yeah, we know, that one needs a bit of explaining. In a nutshell, it places your teams in missions from random stages in which they'll be given very specific objectives. You might, for example, have to make it out of the level alive with every enemy soldier in alert status. Alternatively, you might need to kill or kidnap everyone in a stage before you'll get an exit. If you enjoyed Portable Ops, you'll find Plus has a lot to offer.
