House Of The Dead 2 and 3 Description

Zombies! In your living room! Or bedroom! Or wherever it is that you play games... Don't worry, it's only SEGA bringing back its House of the Dead franchise for a dash of Wii action. Originally released in the arcades, the series essentially puts players on rails, gun in hand, to do battle with hordes of malnourished beings, the intellectually and mortally challenged. Hey, we didn't say it was politically correct... The old lightgun game genre and the Wii are a good match, and SEGA's re-release takes advantage of the Wii Remote to spare you the cost of a gun peripheral. There are more than six modes to go at, including Arcade Mode and Time Attack Mode. Especially for the Wii, there's also a brand spanking new mode going by the name of Extreme Mode. After completing both House of the Dead 2 and 3, players will be able to access this mode. The speed of the enemy attacks will ramp up, while the bullet blast radius will get much smaller. In your favour, the shotgun reload time will drop and a new melee attack will be available. In other words, it all gets much more frantic! Throw in a two player co-op mode (which you can switch on to just 'dual wield', if you prefer) and you've got a much better alternative to getting out there and fighting real zombies...
