Crash and Spyro SuperPack Volume 3: Crash Fusion & Spyro Fusion Description

It makes a lot of sense to pair these two Fusion titles as a bargain bundle: after all, the central characters in the respective games spent time 'fused' together to overcome the bad guys, so why not put 'em in the same box, eh? No need for the GBA link cable to facilitate the intertwining storylines anymore... As the story goes, Spyro's arch-nemesis Ripto has got together with Crash's equivalent, Neo Cortex, and together they have hatched the somewhat less than surprising plan to do the whole' taking over the world' type-thing. In an attempt to share resources and expand their territories, Cortex and Ripto are using portals to flood their two worlds with their evil minions, leaving Spyro and Crash with the task of finding out who the new menace is, and stopping them before it's too late. And so Spyro's adventure sees him platform-jumping his way through his world, battling the countless enemies, charged with the task of collecting special crystals in order to unlock the aforementioned portals. Before long, he bumps into Crash, who's doing pretty much the same thing. And this is where the stories start to merge with one another. In Crash Fusion, as well as negotiating a variety of familiar platforming elements, players must collect fruit in each level in order to unlock and complete various mini-games littered throughout the adventure. The discovery and completion of many of these games rewards players with crystals, which can then be used to progress further. Crash Bandicoot Fusion is fairly detached from Spyro from a solo point-of-view, but the game's trading card quest and multi-player games unite the two to give players the best of both worlds. It's classic platforming with a welcome twist, and a real bargain package.
