Beyblade GRevolution Description

As Japanese anime imports continue to make waves in Children's entertainment, those that have already become established and reputable tend to quickly venture into the realms of interactive entertainment as demonstrated by the likes of Yu-Gi-Oh and Duel Masters. And next to follow suit is Beyblade, for the first time on GBA. Much like the cartoon of the same name, the story of GRevolution sees players exploring an adventure world as they challenge numerous Bladers to partake in one-on-one conflicts. The Beyblades themselves work in a similar fashion to the old spinning-top, with which players must compete to keep their Beyblade rotating for the longest amount of time. It's not quite as easy as it sounds, and the whole process is made significantly more complicated with the introduction of special moves and several other influential factors. Outside of the battle arena, GRevolution is much like your traditional RPG. Noticeably similar to Nintendo's Pokemon game in fact, Atari's latest Beyblade spin-off sees players negotiating a series of 2D locales - played in a top-down perspective - as they strive to reach the Beyblade World Championships. Of course getting there is half the fun, and you'll quickly learn that the game's story is just as important as the underlying play mechanic. Though designed with Beyblade fans in mind, GRevolution is a quirky little number that could appeal to anyone.
