Sarge's War begins when Sarge returns from a top-secret mission to discover that - in his absence - the Tan Army have launched a sneak attack on his homeland. It's an attack so brutal it wipes out Green Army HQ and his entire squad. This attack will change Sarge forever and introduce a new villain into the Army Men universe, a madman who will stop at nothing to destroy the Green nation. Army Men: Sarge's War is a third-person, 3D-combat action game set in the retro world of plastic toys. The player controls Sarge, the hero of the Green nation, in an immersive combat experience featuring frantic action, intense strategy and outrageous plastic destruction effects. Take 2 Interactive's reintroduction of the Army Men brand will no doubt send a shiver down the collective spine of some gamers, but some of us remember former Army Men efforts from 3DO with a degree of fondness. We welcome Take 2's revitalisation of the Army Men brand. It's a polished gaming experience with good controls, enemy AI, and a solid combat play mechanic that'll tempt those with a hankering for some retro - but not too retro - Army Men action.
