Mega Man Zero 3 Description

As the generations-old Mega Man series continues to exploit the possibilities of the platform-shooter genre, developer Capcom has also introduced several new characters to help keep the franchise fresh, the most popular of which is Zero. And continuing the super-hero saga is Mega Man Zero 3 for GBA. Zero 3 is set in the hi-tech world of Neo Arcadia, a place created as a utopia for humans and robot Reploids. This third chapter continues the adventures of super-hero Zero and the Resistance group - an organisation fighting for peace. But nothing in the Mega Man universe is easy, as Zero encounters the malevolent Reploid Omega, whose strategy is to unleash the evil power of the Dark Elf in order to brainwash the Resistance and rule over Neo Arcadia for good. As the only one to escape this brainwashing attack, Zero must fight to save not just Neo Arcadia, but his closest allies too. A game similar to the likes of Super Metroid and Turrican, Zero 3 also remains faithful to the Mega Man legacy. A game that is every bit as difficult as the rest of the series, Zero 3 pits players in a scrolling world of enemy troops, end-of-level bosses and tricky platform elements. Of course you'll be armed with an arsenal of futuristic weapons, but that'll not be enough to take you to the end of the game. As it happens, Zero also comes equipped with three customisable 'parts' that comprise of chips for the feet, head and body. The trick is to learn to tweak them in order to gain an advantage in some of the game's less-than-forgiving levels. Zero 3 is a gem not just in gameplay terms, but from a visual standpoint too. The icing on the cake, Zero 3's graphics and visual effects are nothing short of amazing on the GBA, pushing the capabilities of Nintendo's hardware to its limits. Definitely a thumbs up for this one.
