RoadKill Description

Okay, we're going to have a competition to see who can write a sentence with the most hyphens in it. Ready? Go! This latest game from Midway, RoadKill, is an action-intense, mission-based, persistent-world, combat-driving game. We win! Set on a post-apocalyptic, anarchy-ridden Earth (still going strong!), the game sees players taking on seven rival clans and either battling to take them out or forging alliances with them. The overall aim is to build up a powerful gang following and unleash chaos and destruction on the environment and its inhabitants with a wide selection of vehicles, a potent armoury of weapons and other assorted special equipment. Starting out as a mere vagrant, the game sees you rise up through the ranks towards the desirable position of Overlord by taking on a diverse array of more than 30 core missions. As you would expect, each of the missions mainly involves a combination of wreckless driving and shooting stuff - if you've noticed the 18+ age rating you'll already know that there's a strong emphasis on graphic violence throughout. As such, along the way you'll find yourself running over, impaling, shooting and splattering both innocent and armed pedestrians as you roam the streets, instigating anarchy. There are a total of 40 unique post-apocalyptic style vehicles to encounter throughout the game. Control of them allows you to either take the wheel or quickly switch to the gunner at the push of a button. Also, while exploring the vast environments, you can upgrade your vehicle by collecting salvaged parts, which, in turn, reward you with such extras as nintrous thrust and armour plating. RoadKill supports multiplayer gaming, featuring both a two-player co-op mode and four-player, split-screen deathmatch style option. So there's plenty of life left in it once you've exhausted the main game.
