Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure Description

We've seen Disney skate-em-ups before in video games, but none are quite as special as this one. Why? Because this one is from Activision and makes use of developer Neversoft's accomplished Tony Hawk's Pro Skater engine. So, Tony Hawk with Disney characters in Disney worlds? Exactly. Players begin their adventure by choosing a skater and an arena in which to skate. In Extreme Skate Adventure, players have an unusual cast to choose from, that includes Toy Story's Woody and Buzz Lightyear, Tarzan, Simba and Rafeeki. There's even a variety of familiar Disney locations to skate in too. These include Pride Rock, Pizza Planet and Tarzan's Treehouse. It certainly is authentic, we'll give it that. But gameplay is the most crucial thing here, and thanks to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater engine, Extreme Skate Adventure shines. Through a series of directional taps and single or double button presses, players will be able to use walls, rails, ramps and air to perform an extensive variety of well-known skating tricks. Your aim is to score as much as possible by combining tricks and earning multipliers. It is theoretically possible to combine literally hundreds of tricks together, but that takes lots of time and practice. Alternatively, you can collect useful items, unlock hidden areas and solve puzzles. It's your choice. Other features include a Create-a-Skater option and a split-screen multi-player mode in which players can compete for the greatest scores. All in all, it's a sound skateboarding game that's geared towards kids. Lots of fun.
