Pro Cast Sports Fishing Description

An established and popular genre thanks to the help of Sega, fishing titles are now becoming more common amidst the slew of racers and beat-em-ups. Most of them captivate, offering fresh gameplay that's proven to be highly addictive. Now there's another from Capcom called Pro Cast Sports Fishing. Although commonly known as simulators, most fishing games do have an arcade 'edge' to them, and Pro Cast is one such title. Armed with rod and a selection of off-the-shelf bait, players must choose from one of three seasoned fishermen in a bid to become Master Bass Fisherman. But it's not as easy as you may think? In the early stages, bigger and more elusive fish will be more difficult to catch and most of your standard bait will be less than enticing to most. However, once you get the ball rolling, you will earn more points, which can then be used to purchase better lure, enabling you to catch bigger fish and even enter some tournaments. Players can improve their boats and even purchase lucky hats. But be warned, there is deception in the murky depths. The infamous Mirage fish is no easy catch, but reeling him in will be your greatest act as a virtual fisherman. Rare fish and bonus features will make an appearance as the player becomes more skilled, and overall, Pro Cast offers respectable replay value. The game looks vibrant, and although it loses some of its realism because of its arcade style, it still looks remarkably convincing. It looks like an arcade game and plays like an arcade game, but doesn't really lose anything as a simulator. Great stuff.
