Total Immersion Racing Description

Total Immersion Racing is a new driving experience that combines the highest quality driving technology, real-world race cars and tracks, and immersive gameplay, hence the title. Gamers can choose a career path that leads from the lowest ranked driver of a GT sports car, all the way to becoming a world champion, driving a massively powerful eight litre prototype racer. On the way, team engineers and managers will give advice and input to guide the player. What really separates this game from most of the pack, with the possible exception of Toca Race Driver, is the other drivers that are passed on the track to victory. The player is pitted against a posse of other drivers, all with their own unique personalities, driving styles and responses. An advanced AI system has been created to ensure that every action of the player at the wheel is balanced by an appropriate reaction of the drivers that are nearby. Motor racing drivers have a long memory. Upset the wrong opponent, and he may not respond until many races later, maybe when you are on the last corner before winning your championship! Sound familiar? Well yes, it sounds like Total Immersion Racing may have ripped a page or two out of Codemasters' Toca manual, but it's there that the similarities end. This game is different enough from the frankly disappointing Ryan McKane-starring Toca Race Driver to tempt race fans to part with their hard-earned moolah. So buy one.
