Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse Description

This little guy is undoubtedly the world's most famous mouse. His latest outing sees him embark on a rather bizarre adventure in this Disney Gamecube exclusive. In a rather unfortunate twist of fate, Mickey inadvertently ends up becoming trapped beyond a magical mirror. Behind this mirror, he finds himself in an alternate universe that bears a striking resemblance to his very own house. Our favourite rodent yearns to travel back through the mirror, climb back into bed and return to his peaceful dreams. Unsurprisingly, getting there is not such a simple task, as Mickey needs to recover all the pieces of the broken mirror, which have been scattered about the house by a rather troublesome ghost. In the traditional 3D platform style, players take control of Mickey and explore the various rooms, solving puzzles, tricking enemies and searching for the elusive shards of the mirror. Intensive exploration can be a rewarding experience, earning the player stars, which can be used to pull gags and find the objects needed to progress through each room. The aforementioned naughty little ghost is always around, hindering our hero in his quest. Taking the form of a poltergeist, he causes quite a few ghostly goings-on throughout the house, such as chandeliers crashing to the floor and floating swords soaring around. Throughout his quest, Mickey can collect souvenirs, such as Pluto's collar and Minnie's bow, which can all be viewed in his room at the end of the game. Owners of a Game Boy Advance and a copy of Magical Quest will be pleased to hear that items can be exchanged between the two, and extra help can be found via the link-up cable. Unremarkably, Magical Mirror is Disney through and through: Whilst it's obviously aimed at a young audience, it's also an entertaining and playable experience for us more mature gamers.
