Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance Description

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance on Nintendo's GameCube revels in gloriously detailed bloody violence and innovative gameplay, taking the series to more lethal realms than ever before. Beat 'em up fans never had it so brutal! Midway have installed a completely new fighting system for Deadly Alliance, one which delivers the most intense combat with three unique fighting styles for each character. Hand-to-hand and deadly weapon combat, combined with progressive physical damage, makes this latest incarnation the most detailed fighting experience in the series. The realism extends to blood, sweat, but no tears - they're for sissies - and there are more than 16 lovingly rendered environments to fight in. There are over 20 characters to choose from this time around. Favourite warriors from the past return, including Kung-Lao, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage and others. New human and supernatural fighters appear too, including Frost, Moloch and Kenshi, each with their own special attacks. With a selection of game modes such as Arcade Mode, VS Mode, Konquest, Test Your Might and Test Your Sight, it'll be some time before the fighting becomes jaded, and especially as there are opponents to be humiliated before delivering your fatal blow - it's always good to gloat after giving someone a pounding. Who would have thought that a machine so unassuming, so innocuous-looking as the GameCube could host a game as bloody, gory and sickeningly violent as Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance? Nintendo continues to grow up and get tough, and this game is part of the reason why.
