ESPN Final Round Golf Description

ESPN Final Round Golf is the first golf title available for the Game Boy Advance. This is definitely good news for fans of the sport and owners of Nintendo's new 32-bit system. More good news is that this is actually quite a playable golf game, and now you can play the eighteenth hole while you relax at the nineteenth. At the start of every hole, the camera spins around the course using the GBA's graphical rotation function. This fly-by gives you a good impression of the course layout and helps you decide on your strategy for tackling the hole. The game is played from a top-down perspective and a built-in distance indicator calculates how far your shot will travel if hit at maximum strength with your current club. Using a traditional swing gauge approach, it is a simple process of hitting the ball where you want with the right amount of power and spin. ESPN Final Round Golf is not an officially licensed product of the Professional Golf Association, so don't expect Tiger Woods to make an appearance. This does not detract from the quality of the game, as gameplay and presentation are more important than players' names. There are over 14 golfers, some hidden, to tackle the five different courses with. Final Round Golf also features a four-player link-up option so you can challenge your golf-playing friends. Playing against the computer is good for practice, but the real tension comes when you are a shot behind the leader with only a few holes left. If you fancy a game of golf without the ball ruining the walk, this title is for you.
