Gift Description

Cryo Interactive, a lovely little French company has been responsible for many unnoticed, but highly playable games. The company's Gift development is among their biggest forays into the industry, and has now been developed for PlayStation 2. You play Gift, a big red blob with a big mouth and an even bigger attitude problem. Volunteering himself for a death-defying quest, your challenge is to defeat the Shadow of the Black Deep Dark Night. But during this quest you must also help seven little dwarves (hmmm) get to their heroine (Snow White, perhaps?). Consequently, your game will take place over seven unique environments that are heavily laden with parodies of other famous games and films. But in each world there is a fearsome end-of-level boss to defeat. Not only must you battle these world bosses, but you must also solve puzzles, be resourceful and use your new-found abilities effectively. It is in the hidden eighth and final world that you will be able rescue Gift's long term love interest, The Princess. Although the plot leaves little to the imagination, the gameplay is simple, yet innovative, and that will be appealing to any gamer. What's more, on PlayStation 2, it's the best looking version of the three. What more could you ask for?
