Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? Description

Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? (DKBT) is a game inspired by the research of Dr Ryuta Kawashima, a prominent Japanese neuroscientist. The good doctor's theories revolve around keeping brains stimulated by performing various mental activities. The game is played with the DS turned sideways, making it feel more like a book. DKBT is basically a series of exercises designed to give your brain a workout. Activities include: counting people going in and out of a house, performing various mathematical problems, reading classic literature out loud and drawing pictures on the touch screen. When players begin a new game, they must participate in a selection of tests that will determine their brain age within the game. This number is called the "DS brain age." As the player uses the software over a series of weeks and months, their ability to perform the exercises will improve and their DS brain age will decrease. All progress is charted in graph form and users can keep up to four save files on one game card. Sharing a game gives players the option to compare their results with those of family and friends. You can also send a demo version of Brain Age to friends or compete with up to 16 players in a battle to see who can solve mathematical problems in the fastest time. For Sudoku fans, DKBT includes more than 100 different puzzles of the hit brainteaser.
