| Buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!! and if you rent it you wont be sending it back for a while. I was so pleased when I heard DMC was coming to the 360. The previous 3 games had all been on Sonys console, and apart from the poor DMC 2 were top notch games. Firstly, the graphics are top notch, and very similar in style to Ninja Gaiden. Secondly, the game is a decent length. You get to play as the new character in the franchise, Nero, for the first half of the game, and as the original anti-hero Dante for the second half. In total there are 20 levels, plus a heap of secret missions to complete during the main game that reward you with vital powerups which you are going to need for the harder difficulty levels. There is plenty of replay value too, completing the game multiple times rewards you with harder difficulties, and an unlockable blood palace game that has 100 levels. One of the best things about replaying the game on the harder difficulty levels is that you carry over all your purchased upgrades, skills etc. You can even unlearn some of your of more help dealing with troublesome bosses. Fans of the DM series, and newbies alike who like a good hack and slash like the superb Ninja Gaiden will love this one. | ||

| I have never been a huge fan of this particular genre of game, but Devil May Cry 4 has certainly softened me toward its charms. Visually this game is stunning, sumptuous, detailed and varied environments fill every part of the world of DMC4. The real attraction of the game is however the fighting, which is superbly balanced yet far more accessible than any previous DMC game. Be warned however, if you are not particularly skilled at fighting games, this game is HARD. I started out over ambitiously and ended up having to switch down to Human (easy) difficulty. Once you get your mind round the fighting system this game becomes a joy to play. The only substantial drawback is however, the amount of backtracking that is involved through certain sections of the game. Despite this the combat system and the, Completely over the top storyline really pull this game through. Certainly worth renting even if you haven't liked the genre in the past. | ||
