Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 Description

With the Pro Evolution Soccer series renowned for its fluid, realistic gameplay, the new game builds on the implementation of Teamvision with additional key advances. As with previous releases since its inception in 1996, the ball is again treated as a separate entity, with the timing of shots entirely down to the player, while the new AI ensures that defenders work to close down space and block efforts on goal. Similarly, distribution of passes works along the same lines, with players using the space available to them to switch the ball. Close control has also been enhanced with more control when dribbling the ball, and a number of subtle moves added to bypass defenders and move the ball into space. Working in conjunction with the Teamvision system, every aspect of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008's on-field play has been reworked and fine-tuned to create the balanced and strategic play of a high stakes match. Set-pieces have been improved, with full control given over the number of players and the position of the defensive wall. A wider range of set piece options are also available to make use of specific talents within the team.

The best, if flawed, footy game out there. If you've played previous Pro Evo games you know how good it is so I'll just have a moan about the probs instead of listing it's good points. Slow down does happen, sorry but it's true, can be a pain when you get a load of players in the box and replays suck due to it. Why include diving when you get booked every bloody time?? Mark Lawrenson. The man sounds like he's either bored sh**less or his reading a monologue for the worst play in existance...awful and no challenge to the FIFA commentry at all. Still Pro Evo is the best playing footy game so unless you wait a year you will have to put up with the flaws (unless the alledged patch is released).

Do not get this game, the gameplay is awful and too quick, you end up with the ball in your half then within 5 seconds of running down the wing you are at the opposite end of the pitch. Shooting too easy, shoot from distance and it will go in or be pushed in be the goalkeeper. Still no kits for teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd but a kit for Tottenham?! Manager mode boring and easy, if you win your league you end up playing in either La Liga, Premier League, Seria A...... with a complete different team. Season modes poor as no proper kits, players dont look at all like they do in real life, and stadiums are poor choices. The only good thing about this game is the training so stay away from it and get Fifa who's graphics, gameplay and game modes are 10 times better thant this poor game
