If you want to be a reckless pirate and take on everybody you encounter, you can do that too. Or maybe you'd like to be a romantic hero, seeking to sweep every governor's daughter off her feet. You truly are the master of your own destiny. Make your decisions count, however, because your career will not last forever. As you age, some of your skills will begin to wane. At some point, you'll find it harder to recruit crewmen who would prefer to align themselves with a young and healthy captain. Eventually, you'll consider retirement and start a new career. But we're getting ahead of ourselves a little. It's a world of high adventure out there for the brave and buccaneering, as richly-laden ships take to the seas carrying silver and gold and all sorts of myriad booty.
