| I'd been looking forward to this for ages having read rave reviews. I ended up being disappointed and frustrated. I realise I'm getting old and my reactions aren't what they used to be but I found this flying game really hard to play. The controls look simple enough, but in the end I found them too complicated and to be honest needlessly so, it was almost like they were trying to find a way to use the Wii controller, rather than making it intuative. The graphics and sound were good, and the story seemed interesting enough, but compared to HeatSeeker I found controlling the plane(s) much harder and meant the game became frustrating quickly. Might be worth me having another go later, but for now its one I'd avoid. | ||

| Probably the most painfully embarassing thing about this game is the fact that it only has three levels... Three! I pity the people who foolishly bought this game for full price because they've most definitely been ripped off. So, there's only three levels and about 10 different missions on each. The missions tend to last a few minutes so the game will be finished within hours of first putting the disc into the Wii's slot. Normally, I might say this is the perfect sort of game for a rental but the amount of content here means that the game feels as if you've only just begun when the credits roll. It just never feels that the potential for the title was ever reached. However, the controls are for the most part incredibly easy to pick up as you simply tilt the Wiimote as you wish the plane to move. It only starts getting needlessly complicated when you have to change formation and it requires you to hold down the A button while waving the Wiimote in some direction. The problem is you'll never remember which direction is which formation. The graphics are poor at a sub-GameCube standard and the multiplayer is basic and was obviously tacked on at the last minute. Although the music with it's great fanfare and epic feel makes up for this somewhat. Still, rent this game and I guarantee that you will be disappointed. Wii has plenty of other, more exciting flight games to play though, with less of the uninspiring mission types on display here. | ||
