Online Chess Kingdoms Description

Did you enjoy Worms? Of course you did! Hogs of War? Sure! Yu-Gi-Oh? Well, we understand if you didn't enjoy that so much. But if you enjoyed any of the above, why not give the original turn-based strategy game a go? Online Chess Kingdoms on the PSP brings the oldest turn-based strategy game we can think of into your hands. Yes, portable chess sets have been around for a while, but they were hardly handy for playing on a bumpy bus ride, were they? The game brings chess to life with 3D visuals that allow you to watch your rook in action as he cuts through swathes of pawns. Set in an ancient world, there are five distinct groups battling for tactical supremacy over their foes. Magicians, an aquatic race, forest spirits, servants of chaos and (perhaps slightly out of place) cybernetic beings are set to duke it out in your PSP. There's also a story mode to bring it all together. Completing pre-set tasks will allow you to unlock new story elements to keep things fresh. And a chess game on the PSP wouldn't be up to much if it didn't offer the opportunity of a multiplayer mode, would it? Online Chess Kingdoms uses the PSP's wireless functionality to pit you against other players in either single matches or sprawling online tournaments.
