Halo 3 Description

The final chapter of the Halo trilogy is here and promises to end the series with a bang. You take control of the now legendary Masterchief as he takes up his fight against the covenant once again. Now on the Xbox 360, the Halo franchise is brought to life with more defined graphics and the ability to have much larger fire fights. This time the fight is brought home as the Masterchief returns to a Covenant-controlled earth and must fight to return its independence. However, he is not alone. Not only will he gain help from remaining UNSC forces, but he will be aided by old ally, the Arbiter. Masterchief also gains new firepower to help save the day in the form of 'support weapons' such as the huge Machine gun turret which he is able to actually rip from vehicles. He will certainly need these weapons if he is to face the many new foes who await him, such as the fearsome and newly-armed Brutes who can easily rival Masterchief's power. Weapons are not the only new item that the Masterchief has to fight of the covenant horde with. Several new vehicles are also available to him. New ground craft feature the mongoose, a lightly armoured quad bike, and a modified warthog that can carry more men and rush them to the battlefield. Featuring immersive online play, players can either battle it out against each other or join up to form a four man cell to take on sections of the single player campaign. The final chapter of the Halo story arc is here at last and it will blow you away.

I thought this was a great game. Okay it was really badly overhyped but once you get past this Halo 3 turns out to be a great game with a fantastic campaign and outstanding multiplayer. The campaign follows on from Halo 2's complicated ending and begins with the Master Chief, the Arbiter, Sergent Johnson and a group of marines making their way through a jungle. You get a taste of the great graphics the game has to offer through this jungle environment. In this game you are trying to stop Truth from activating the "ark" which is a place where all the Halo rings can be fired. Right, now multiplayer. All the rest of the Halo games have had great multiplayer and Halo three continues this with with great co-op and verses modes. This game should be played everybody from hardcore fans to people who are only vaguely aware of the Halo triology.
