Just in time for the closing stages of the 2006-2007 competition, the Xbox 360 version of the UEFA Champions League title from EA introduces a new way to play the beautiful game by introducing a unique and collectable virtual card system in the Ultimate Team mode that enables you to develop your team. This complements the traditional way of playing as your favorite club team from qualification right through to a virtual reproduction of the championship final. Plus, UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 features new challenging game modes to test the most skillful players at the highest levels. Using collectable cards in Ultimate Team Mode on the Xbox 360 system, players can hand-pick everything from team and staff members to match strategy and stadium. Now you can build your dream team by going online to collect or trade virtual player, staff and gameplay cards; effectively organise your squad to foster team chemistry; accumulate Staff, Training, Morale, Fitness and Healing cards to transform your squad into a European super power online. Collect dominant Gameplay cards, and then use them at key moments during a match to gain the tactical advantage over your opponent. Gameplay cards can be activated during a contest to boost the abilities of your players and team. For the greatest rewards, put your managerial ability and your playing skills to the test by trading or selling unwanted cards or trawling the market online for the ones you need to complete your title-winning team.

I currently am renting this game and to be fair, it is really quite good. It is the game that I have rented for the longest time, over 1 month now. In fact, I am thinking of buying it. The game cards are a great addition to the game. One annoying point is that you need staff contract cards all the time and you can never buy them in the trade area as they are required so often and thus, nobody puts theres up for sale. Rent the game and you will see what I mean. I have won the Champs League 5 times, 3 with regular team and twice with my ultimate team but still I do not have enough credits to buy the players I want. Anyway, it is deffo worth a rent even if you have played all the other fifa variants from EA. Oh yes, and it is not too difficult to score from a free kick.

A much better game than FIFA, and a very novel mode with the collector cards team. Enjoyable, and probably worth buying, if there wasn't another one being released soon.

Alright first off this game is OK Not Bad And Not Good But OK i feel it is just fifa 07 i bought this game because i was like kool finally champions league game but too be honest i feel its just FIFA 07 so i wasted ?35 buying a game which i already had but the gameplay on it its triffic and some achievements are just dumb and dont bother letting you have em overall 3/5

I really did not enjoy this game as much as fifa 08 cause it was slow moving just like fifa`s 06/07 games i got so far in the game but decided to call it a day graphics were fine stadiums were exellent gameplay was hard to control example passing & shooting , not for me thanks.

Better looking than fifa 07, gameplay is much improved (scoring is possible!) BUT and this is a big but, the game to me appears to have been released before it is finished, some of the achievements do not work, and the cards you buy in exchanges for credits regular "disappear". Many forums and reporting this fault so it isn't just my copy. Major disappointment, as I fail to see the point of the main mode in the game, if you can't save our progress. Big thumbs up for Swapgame meaning I haven't just wasted ?44.99 on this. Classic example - EA ran out of time, and released before ready.
