Sonic and the Secret Rings Description

Sonic's new adventure unfolds from a storybook of the classic tale, Arabian Nights, the last several pages from the book have gone missing, and it's up to Sonic to re-create the story. The vibrant environments provide for a refreshingly new look to the franchise filled with brightly colored mosaic tiles, glistening oases, swaying palm trees, and crumbling stone columns. Sonic activates specific areas in the prismatic environment to pull off new tricks and stunts, in addition to interacting head-on with various obstacles by jumping, dodging, and dashing. "Sonic Wild Fire and the innovative Wii controller changes the way gamers play interactive entertainment," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of SEGA of America, Inc. "SEGA is excited to lead the gameplay revolution through its support of Wii with a Sonic release built exclusively for this new system." Gamers will use the Wii controller to steer Sonic and experience an untapped freedom in gameplay and control. Hold the controller horizontally with two hands and tilt left and right to steer Sonic on different paths and maneuver deftly from obstacles and enemies. Continue to tilt and fling forward to dash-attack ground and air enemies and to break down barriers. In addition to the main game is an array of unique controller-focused mini-games which make Sonic Wild Fire fun to play alone or as a multiplayer game with friends. Get ready for a refreshing adventure that puts you on the forefront of gaming!

Not the best platformer, but then again not the worst. The controls are odd at first, and to be honest I never became completley comfortable with them, but they do work. Too much story for a Sonic game in my opinion, but good fast paced platforming action. Not as good as Sonic Rush for the DS though. All in all; worth a rent but not a purchase.

after being hughly disappointed by Sonic on the 360 I thought that this version would be better or even worth playing, but to me this is an even bigger disappointed. the controls could have been more responsive and........you know what just to save myself making a big list of faults i'll just say this: Sonic in 3D just dosent work, Sega should have just kept it in the side scrolling perspective.

i really didn't like this game, i have been disappointed with all the next gen sonic games, and i read a review of this which led me to believe it was better than the others, but i hated it and the wii controls just made it worse because there really difficult to get used to. If you like a straight forward platformer then you might wanna give it a quick blast, but other than that i don't recommend it.

Couldn't follow the storyline at all. A very poor game as you can't control Sonic's direction and he only goes forward. Terrible Wii standards and an absolutely dreadful sonic game.
