Ridge Racer 2 Description

One of the launch titles for the PSP was Namco's Ridge Racer. The game was basically a compilation of classic Ridge Racer courses from previous games. It proved to be very successful and an instant classic for Sony's handheld. Commonsense dictated that a sequel would eventually make an appearance, and here it is, the imaginatively-titled Ridge Racer 2 (RR2). RR2 offers nearly three times as much playtime as its predecessor. With new cars, new racing modes and more courses than you can shake a stick at, RR2 should keep even the most jaded of racing gamers amused. To be precise, there are ten new courses, again taken from Ridge Racer titles of the past. There are two new game modes on RR2: Duel Mode, in which you must race one-on-one against a computer-controlled opponent using a car with the same capabilities/performance as yours; and Survival Mode, where you race against three other cars, and the car in last place at the end of each lap drops out until the winner is decided. Apart from the new features, RR2 is similar to the first game, including the single player World Tour Mode. As in the original game for the PSP, the soundtrack used in RR2 features remixes of classic Ridge Racer tunes from yesteryear, as well as a selection of new tracks to nod your head to while you are blasting your way around the tracks.

wait this is ment to be a sequal? then where are all the bloody extras and new content there is nothing new in this game so basically all NAMCO have done is re-release the first game but with a 2 in the logo and no new extras but why 3/5 well it is still a very fun game to play so it's worth getting if you don't own the first game but if you do you will be hugely disapointed.
