Saints Row Description

From the outset, you have no choice. As a playa, you begin your life of crime in Saints Row as a member of the 3rd Street Saints gang. The opening scenes of the game are just a taste of what's to come. Needless to say, there's plenty of cussing and fighting and shooting - Saints Row has certainly earned its BBFC rating. The 3rd Street Saints are under an almost constant threat from Stilwater's rival gangs and the city's corrupt officials. Stilwater must be conquered one district at a time or face complete devastation. Saints Row hits the ground running and the high octane action rarely lets up. Character and vehicle customisation is a big part of the gameplay - respect is earned by being as flash as possible: the clothes, the accessories, the wheels?they all attract attention. In a game like Saints Row, the need to roam freely is sated with the inclusion of a huge town populated with all kinds of folks. The freedom to progress through the game any way the player chooses is most welcome and something we expect, nay demand, from a mission-based adventure game. Every move you make, and every individual you encounter in Stilwater will react to you in the appropriate manner. Most will see you as a threat, while some will give you the respect you deserve. With enough of 'dat respec', the city turns into a big playground that's at your mercy. The 3rd Street Saints elders will recognise your standing and will reward you accordingly: more respect and more missions such as Insurance Fraud and Snatch. Stilwater's not an easy place to live in, and right from the start, it's a hell of a job surviving the missions. Life is cheap here, talk is tough, and so is the gameplay. from what i saw of the playable demo is that this game is awesome..the graphics are just so much better and there is so much you can do in this game that you cannot do in SA..this game is a very highly recommened and i also recommend ppl to pre order as the release date is only 5 weeks away :)

Also played this on demo but this put you off GTA for a long time (at least until GTA4 comes out) graphics are fantastic as well as gamplay but sometimes not as challenging as GTA but overall very good.

Saints row has all the makings of a GTA beater!!!!!! It has all the usual features plus good music but the killer part is online gaming!!!!!!!

Fantastic game, beats GTA hands down! Great graphics & varied gameplay, you can never get tired of shooting rival gangs can you?! Will keep you hooked for a good amount of time

This game is great I got it on one of the first days it came out and I am still playing it now!!! Fantastic graphics and truly immersive gameplay. The only problem is that there is a few graphical glitches etc.

i got saints row for christmas and i have played on it loads its like the best game ive eva played i like the storyline it gets you playin it lodes its really good online i havent had live for long and i have only played on this game

this owns GTA atm, till the new one OFC, but yer missions are fun, gameplay is awsome, graphics are nice and online ROCKS, its just so fun and make good mates online and have a laugh :)

The game had so much potential but all the game testers need fired as there are so many flaws in the graphics and the gameplay that should have been spotted before release. Putting this aside the game is very good some ideas are original others taking straight from GTA. I personally would wait for GTA 4.

Its ok,but tries to hard to be GTA,In general GFX is good but suffers from slowdown and popup,the "gta" radio staitions are embarrasing because it tries to be GTA radio and the music is awful. Missions in game are pretty run of the mill...go there pick that up,go there shoot some one etc etc. Also im tired of "Gansta" games set in American cities (albeit Saints Row is fictional,not to be confused with real life "Stillwater") theres something tiring about non stop swearing,and sexual references im no prude but its gettiing dull.

I was a little confused at first when I saw the 18 age rating in the game intro. I then realised that it means that you have to be UNDER the age of 18 to actually get more than a couple of hours of enjoyment from it. For testosterone filled teens only I'm afraid :)

Great game,good graphics,lots of gameplay! N ow for the downside,Online isnt perfect at moment,hard to jump straight in,also frame rate suffers from flicker from time to time,&glitches with the game stopping sometimes,eg you are driving and your car dissappears with u sitting in mid air!hopefully these will be put right in time.Worth the rent/buy tho

I brought this game yesterday and I am loving every minute playing this game! The story line is very good and the hundreds of side missions are really great fun. Down side is that you can't ride motorcycles or boats, but that really doesn't matter. The graphics are supurb even the buildings look real! The gamplay engine is unique, if you hit someone head on in your car ethier you or the other person will fly through the windscreen. And thats not all it! There is also a multiplayer option which will keep this game going for a very long time! So if you havn't rented this game I belive you really should, or better yet buy it!

Freeform game play gives you increased choices: Purchase an item at a store, or rob the cashier at gunpoint and run away with the cash, unless you prefer to break in at night for a full-scale robbery.
