MotoGP 06 Description

MotoGP '06 (MGP06) for the Xbox 360 is the official game of the MotoGP Championship, with all the bikes, riders and tracks from both the 2005 and 2006 season. MGP06 takes the franchise to the extreme, expanding beyond the realms of Grand Prix racing to incorporate high adrenaline Street Racing. Players can hone their skills on the streets or progress through the Grand Prix championship. Gamers will also have the chance to experience photorealistic graphics in HD. For the first time in the franchise, MGP06 will start with the current season data. There are 17 real GP tracks for gamers to get their teeth into, including three completely new ones. In Street Racing or Extreme Mode, there are also 17 tracks, but these tracks are streamlined for speed, therefore, they are much larger and are also designed to allow gamers reach maximum performance on their bikes. There is also a Challenge Mode, where players have to complete a series of tasks that, if completed successfully, will increase their rider abilities and unlock various parts of the game. MGP06 also offers a 4-player split-screen, which really adds longevity to the gameplay is great fun in the multiplayer options. Of course, in MGP06, you can experience the 360's online capabilities with up to 16 online players racing in either GP or Extreme Mode.

The BEST bike game ever made! Takes a while to get used to the handling but once you do you wont look back!

On the whole the game is in parts a port of MotoGP3 , you have very similar gameplay, replica interfaces and copied and pasted modes. Despite all that it still has a great online mode, absolutely blinding graphics and audio which will make bike lovers go weak at the knees. What with all the licensed bikes, riders and of course tracks would you really want to pass up the opportunity to play, why of course not? The final question is, is it truly worth ?40? After the poo we had like project gotham 3 and need for speed most wanted i nearly gave up on racing games, but guess what im glad i didnt. being a score whore (i only play for achievements) normally i would give up on a game thats hard to control but thats the beauty of this game learning, learning how to drift around a corner at 150mph, learning what corners to brake on and what corners you dont have to. the only thing that lets this game down is the fact you cant just pick it up and play. is it worth renting YES is it worth buying DEFINATLY
