Pokemon Link Description

Get ready to experience a new element to the world of Pok?n with Pok?n Link - a slide action puzzle adventure made exclusively for the Nintendo DS. The game features over 380 characters from the Pok?n video game series. Gotta catch 'em all! In Pok?n Link, gamers must line up four of their favourite Pok?n icons in a row as they drop onto the game screen. With the use of the Nintendo DS stylus and touch screen, players must move the icons horizontally or vertically to join up four of the same type. Once a line is made 'Link Chance' occurs and the icons vanish from the screen and collected in the players 'Link List'. By moving Pok?n into certain formations, players can achieve higher scores with a 'chain reaction' where icons fall into cleared spaces creating further 'Links'. As well as the sliding puzzle mode, there is also an adventure mode. Players must guide a secret agent named Lucy Fleetfoot through a mission to rescue stolen Pok?n from an evil organisation known as 'Phobos Battalion'. In this mode, players will encounter Pok?n of all types from every previously released Pok?n game. The Nintendo DS wireless functionality gives players a chance to do battle against friends in Link Battle Mode, or join forces with them in Pair Link Mode in an attempt to beat the game's high score in a co-op. For Pok?n fans, rare characters are more likely to appear in multiplayer modes. Pok?n Link also features an Espionage Mode, where players can make an 'Agent Card' with their nickname and message. When passing another DS in Espionage Mode the agent cards can be swapped. Collecting these cards also increases the chance of finding rare Pok?n. With four different modes to enjoy, Pok?n Link will certainly offer something for everyone - from veteran Pok?n fans to gamers who have never experienced the pocket monster phenomenon.
