Pro Evolution Soccer 5 Description

With the same intense gameplay of its bigger console brothers (but minus the Konami Cup competition and - crucially - no Master League)) PES5 makes a belated appearance on PSP. The good news is that it looks every bit as good as you would hope - even as good as the Xbox version. Unfortunately for those of us with Dual Shockpad-shaped grip, these players take as much getting under control as a Turkish national team not qualifying for the World Cup. Small niggle aside, and ignoring the possibility of getting mugged if you play it in public, the PSP version is essential footballing on the go if you simply must travel. Whether you're a veteran or a novice, it's always wise to warm up before plunging into the league competition, or indeed going wireless and making an exhibition of yourself. Thus, Exhibition mode is a good place to begin, as is Training, just to brush up the skills factor. Once you think you're ready to take on the world (okay, maybe there aren't as many clubs and countries here as there are in EA's FIFA game, but think of the gameplay!) there is a selection of league competitions to enter. And after all, the PES series is about leagues and gameplay; the emphasis this time around is really on gameplay, given the absence of the Master League option. There aren't many footy options open to PSP owners in the run-up to Xmas 2005, but PES5 is the only one to consider - it's got Konami's logo on it for heaven's sake! And remember, like a dog, PES is not just for Xmas.

Doesn't have a master league big deal? I love this game cant get enough of it. I got PES6 as well and I must say I keep coming back to this just because of the gameplay. Its how football should be played on a console.
