Perfect Ace 2: The Championships Description

Released in 2003, Aqua Pacific's Perfect Ace distinguished itself amongst the ever plentiful crop of console tennis titles with challenging, simulation-driven gameplay and crisp graphics boasting motion capture and digi-masking technology. You wouldn't guess it from the name, but Aqua Pacific is based in Warwickshire, England. The company's pedigree in the world of realistic tennis sims is not in question, having developed the Agassi Tennis Generation games. Now once again, AP deliver a solid sport sim for budget publisher Oxygen. This is no half-hearted rehash either: the entire game gets an overhaul, with new game mechanics and animations, brought to life with all new player models playing in new stadiums. As you'd expect, singles, doubles and mixed doubles flavours of the game are all here, and you can take on the best in the world as you go on tour. The game features a full player editor, so you can have your players looking exactly as you want them too. Add to that the customary ability to play quick matches on any court in the world, and multiplayer support for up to four players, and it's hard to see where you can go wrong. Console owning tennis fans pumped after 2005's exciting Wimbledon tournament need look no further than this little beauty.
