Crazy Taxi 3 Description

Three times the size of the previous Crazy Taxi games, Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller brings the frantic arcade action CT players know and love to the bustling night-time streets of Glitter Oasis, a thinly-disguised Las Vegas. Players race the garishly illuminated strips, between brightly-lit casinos and labyrinthine desert back roads in the mad dash for cash that Crazy Taxi vets know so well. CT3's glamorous new locations mean that your cabbie can collect fares from customers ranging from glitzy showgirls to troupes of unruly mime artists or clowns. Cabbies available to choose to play as include eight previously seen in the first two instalments of Crazy Taxi, plus four new faces, and especially in the case of Mrs Venus, figures! She's a big-haired mother of eight, and it's not just her hair that's big, if you know what I mean. Think 'Lilt Lady' and you're almost there. She's the most notable and likeable new character, but you can always choose to play as the surly Zax, tattooed wildman Angel, or super-smooth Bixbite. A new set of challenging mini-games, dubbed the Crazy X, helps gamers perfect their skills from the crazy dash and crazy hop, to insane combo moves like the crazy drift-hop-dash (!) as they unlock new cars and other secret items. High Roller, so called, we presume, because of its desert-bound gambling location, also features tricked-out versions of the West Coast level from the original Crazy Taxi and the Small Apple from Crazy Taxi 2 for three full games in one. The 'jump' feature from CT2 is also present, making those short hops (ha!) a lot easier. You will have noticed that we have sounded no bells or whistles about new features and additions to the gameplay. That's because we've told you everything that's been changed for Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller - night-time driving, new locations, new cabbies, and a pounding new soundtrack featuring Brian Setzer, Methods of Mayhem, Bad Religion, Citizen Bird, and yes, The Offspring are here too. The rest you will have seen before if you have previous experience of Crazy Taxi (not a criticism, it's like greeting an old friend) and it all looks grand on Microsoft's Xbox. Just as good as it did on Sega's DreamCast!
