Getaway Black Monday Description

The Getaway: Black Monday builds on the digitally replicated 25 square miles of London and delves deeper into the seedy underground for the ultimate gangland thriller.

Giving gamers a refined and enriched gameplay experience for the sequel, The Getaway: Black Monday offers more predictable driving and on-foot controls, huge variety in mission types with free roaming gameplay, and new characters. Classic and contemporary cinematic methods were used in game development; from atmospheric lighting, sound and set design to a director working with a cast of more than 20 actors who were motion-captured as they acted out scenes surrounding the organized crime rings in London. The Getaway: Black Monday leaves it up to the player to decide how to play and how the story ends, from choosing how to complete missions, to deciding how to get to the next real London location.

In The Getaway: Black Monday, the narrative will progress backward and forward in time, both in gameplay and movie sequences. One story unfolds from three unique perspectives, as the paths of the characters entwine. The story begins with a chain of events that takes place two years after the demise of the most notorious crime boss of London's East End, Charlie Jolson. A simple bank job goes wrong - a small-time thug gets in way over his head and a cop is out for revenge - sending two sides of the same tale into a collision course for an explosive showdown. By choosing which path to take, players will make critical decisions that influence the final outcome of the game.

Good graphics, great realism of londons streets, but i finished it in 15 hours, what a dissapointment. The extra modes were far to short too. A great game but far to short they could have done better.

If you liked the first Getaway then you'll will like Black Monday I was a big fan of the first getaway. I liked driving around London. Doing missions and having fun. The new Getaway feels the same to me. London looks exactly the same as before They didn't extend it or nothing it just looks the same. The game controls are the same as the first one, bad aiming system, no control what so ever over the camera, And the driving don't feel responsive. The thing i liked about the first getaway was. The Story and the realism. The story of Black Monday ain't as good as the first one. Most parts of the story seem confusing and unfinished. There are 3 characters in the main storyline. A cop named Ben Mitchell, A former boxer Eddie O'Conner, and a female thief name Sam. You'll Start off as Ben when you begin the game. Ben's character is uninteresting and boring. Eddie on the other hand is more interesting. You'll feel the emotion of him. Sam is on the same boat with Eddie. They mostly be together though the whole game. This game is shorter then the first getaway. I beat this game in 8 hours. It also feels a lot easier. I wish Team Soho do a better job on the next getaway. Im not disappointed, I just think the Getaway has alot of potential. If they fix the problem of this game and expend their horizon. The Getaway will be a near perfect game.

Having played and enjoyed the first game, I was a bit dissapointed with this followup. They attempted to fix a few problems that plagued the first game, and in doing so added a whole load of extra problems. The camera angles being the main problem in my eyes, very poorly made and enduces nausea if you attempt to stare at it for too long, although this may have been partly due to my state of hunger. Still, nonetheless, poor attempt. Secondly, the game is pretty damn short and has little replay value at all. If you liked the first game, you will probably like this, if you are used to GTA, then this might not tickle your fancy at all.
