If you can see it-you can steal it, use it or blow it up. Mercenaries is an open-ended third person combat-action game set in North Korea where a coup has plunged the troubled nation into chaos. An elite private military company has dispatched a lone mercenary to track down 52 fugitive members of the old hardliner regime -- before they can launch a nuclear attack.

Players will have the opportunity to live out their action movie fantasies with Mercenaries, through explosive combat and non-linear gameplay set in massive interactive environments. The nonstop action is complete with a havoc physics engine where the world is always active and the player can affect everything within the environment. Motivated by cash, players can choose alliances as they pilot more than 22 authentic ground and air vehicles, and use more than 30 deadly weapons to hunt down the dangerous enemy combatants.

great game ,its a lot like GTA but a lot more fun some of this is because its easier in some ways like you collect money and can buy the supplies and vechicles u need but it still has some very hard missions despite this much better than i thought it would be the tv advert really lets it down despite being a cool advert you think its going to be a blow everything in site but you don't get enough explosives for this and you'd die if thats all you did i really recomend renting this out

This is a great game. The controls are not quite as tight as GTA. But it looks great, and you often feel like you are in the middle of your favourite war movie, as you watch your support heli coming in low over a nearby building, side-gunners blazing away, while you carry over your latest capture to load aboard. Not a hard game, but plenty to do, and some laugh-out-loud moments of manic destruction.

This is a great game, the only downside i saw was that you have to trek up and down the map, but that can all be sorted by either GTC (Grand Theft Chopper) or a call to the Merchant of Menice.

This Game needs to be read upon before you even start, or you will be kicking yourself after three hours, and clicking restart. Politics are as important as bullets, find out what is what before you do a damn thing. Its okay if you like Goals, Missions, Politics. I found it hard work to please anyone, then myself after 8 hours. Read the instructions first on this one. Crimson skies is a lot better I think to start with, and the bots aren't so grumpy. You bump into one or two, next thing a 50cal is being aimed at you. If you want different it is, whether it is worth your time that's up to you.

Fifty-two action-packed missions featuring open-ended and explosive gameplay set in the future during a coup in North Korea.

The "deck of 52" represents a target for each of these modern-day combat inspired missions. Players must secure the face card for each suit, with the ultimate being the capture of the Ace of Spades.

More than 20 authentic ground and air vehicles including helicopters, cars, artillery rocket launchers and tanks.

Over 30 weapons including rocket launchers, grenades and shotguns.

Players control how they interact within each environment with the ability to use anything within the game.

Play as one of three mercenaries including an American or Swedish male or a British female - each character with at least one unique advantage.

Choose your alliances between numerous feuding factions.

Havoc physics engine allows players to demolish buildings and watch the world around them react as it would in real life.
