Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced Description

Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot was originally dubbed Sony's new mascot when he debuted on PlayStation in late 1996. But since then he's moved onto pastures new and is making waves not just on Sony's consoles but on GameCube, Xbox and he's now got a second outing for Game Boy Advance. The nefarious N-Tropy has once again returned and is seeking revenge for his past defeat. This time he's teamed up with an all new partner-in-crime, the hypnotically evil N-Trance, to brainwash Crash's friends and turn them into evil minions. Now Crash must face off against his friends and bring them back to the realms of the good. If he fails, they'll be lost to the villainous duo forever! Any excuse for a good platformer, eh? Fundamentally, Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced remains faithful to its predecessors, comprising of dozens of into-the-screen, out-of-the-screen and side-scrolling levels. But he has developed a couple of new-found abilities this time around including a new rocket-jump and a super-slide. Gameplay is largely the same - run, jump, kill enemies, collect apples and smash as many of those crates as you can. There are 40 levels in this outing and an additional three types of crates to expand gameplay that little bit further. The game world is especially varied this time around. The old beach location makes a welcome return, but Crash's adventures will also take him across ruins, caves, Egyptian skylines and even through space. It's a bandicoot-eat-bandicoot world out there - but a mighty playable one at that.
