Mario Kart: Super Circuit Description

When Mario Kart was originally released on the SNES, it took the gaming world by storm with its supreme playability and addictive gameplay. Mario Kart is back, this time it's on the Game Boy Advance and history is set to repeat itself. This is cartoon karting at its finest and now it's portable. Mario Kart Super Circuit is like a combination of the original game and the 3D N64 version with all new tracks to race on. The aim of the game is simple: finish four races with the most points. In keeping with series tradition, there are three classes to race: 50cc, 100cc and 150cc, with each class becoming faster and more difficult as you progress through the ranks. Only the very best drivers will succeed. Mario Kart is not just about racing, however. To add a tactical aspect, weapons can be picked up by driving through the 'question mark' boxes. Green and red shells can be used like missiles, banana skins will spin your opponents if they run over them, and lighting will miniaturise everyone apart from yourself. Using the right weapon at the right time can mean the difference between winning and losing. On each track there are coins scattered around that will increase your top speed if you run over them. As an added bonus, over 20 secret tracks can be unlocked if you finish a championship with over 120 coins. It's possible to link-up four Advance consoles to indulge in multi-player games. You only need one cartridge for basic multi-player, but if you all want to use different characters and all of the tracks then four game paks are necessary. Whether it's racing or battling, many hours will disappear in this fun mode. Mario Kart has it all. Smooth graphics, addictive gameplay, link-up and plenty of challenges. If you like racing games, you will love Super Circuit.
