Battle Engine Aquila Description

Hopefully entirely fictional and in no way prophetic, Battle Engine Aquila tells of a futuristic earth-like planet, plunged into crisis following a sudden climatic change. A by-product of global warming, this transformed planet now consists of a series of islands, after rising water and floods have left only the highest ground above water. With land now at a premium, tensions have built between the surviving nations, as each one tries to stake a claim to the precious dry land. And how is this to be solved? With big guns, of course. Battle Engine Aquila plunges players into the midst of this conflict, placing them at the controls of the behemoth war machine of the same name. Each encounter takes place upon a vast battlefield, with war raging between two feuding sides - the Forseti and the Muspell. This is a major war, with thousands of units engaged on each side, ranging from infantry to tanks, planes, battleships and artillery. At the controls of the Aquila, you have at your disposal a vast arsenal of weaponry - pulse cannons, missile launchers, spread bombs - all of which are essential to survival as you advance through a wide variety of increasingly intense campaigns. Many of these battles take place in the lush, green Forseti territory, as you attempt to protect it from aggressors. If successful, you will engage the enemy on his own hostile territory, or in the neutral zones of the vast ocean that engulfs the majority of the planet. Aside from the solo campaign, the game also sports a few multiplayer options, which allows you team up with another player to defeat the Muspell or, alternatively, pick your sides and go head-to-head. However you go about it, the premise remains the same: there's a fight for your nation's future going on out there and a weapon of mass destruction with your name sewn into the seat. So what are you waiting for?
