Bomberman Tournament Description

One of the best multi-player games of all time has been converted to the Game Boy Advance. Many people regard Bomberman Tournament as the original and definitive party game. It's gameplay is simple and highly addictive. This is portable bombing action at its finest. There are two main game modes in this version of Bomberman, Battle and Quest. Quest is an adventure game similar to Pokemon. Bomberman Max has disappeared on the planet Phantarion after five meteors came crashing down to the surface. It is your mission to rescue him. The Quest mode involves travelling around the planet talking to people, uncovering clues and winning fights with bosses. There are five expansive lands to explore, and plenty of puzzles to challenge your intellect. The Battle mode is what this makes this title unmissable. Up to four players compete in a single screen maze in a fight to the death. Four Advance consoles can be linked together using just one cartridge or you can choose to fight against three computer-controlled players. Initially, you can only place one bomb at a time, and you must use these to blow paths through the maze. Certain sections of the maze can be destroyed, and power-up items are hidden throughout the level. The power-ups can mean the difference between winning and losing. You can increase the number of bombs you can place at once and then use three bombs to create deadly chain reactions. The intensity and length of your explosions can be improved and you can also make your character move faster. Learning how to punch bombs over walls allows you have a pop at opponents who can't retaliate, unless they have picked up punches too. Different arenas also have different gameplay elements, such as warps or conveyor belts. Bomberman Tournament is a top quality game in all modes and is worthy of being a part of your Advance library.
