Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360)

Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360) review

A nice addition to the Halo Series, giving you an different perspective of the game. Instead of playing as Master Chief, you are an ODST soldier within a group that gets seperated. You play as different ODST's throughout the story, trying to re-unite with your squad and unravelling the 'mystery'. I would recommend playing some of the other Halo games before this to get used to the game and have some brief knowledge of the game, but overall a good game that had me hooked for the campaign (although it was fairly short), and snippets of multiplayer that I tried was fun as well. Definately worth a rent, if not a full purchase - Considering you get all of the Halo 3 map packs included with the two discs it comes with.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (Xbox 360)

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (Xbox 360) review

First of all, this is not a 'run and gun' game like the Call of Duty series. It's a realistic sim. The graphics aren't amazing and gameplay is slow - but not in a bad way. The story is mediocre and some of the voice-overs can sometimes lag or glitch and sound rather strange. Overall, it's not a game which kept me personally hooked as it was a bit too slow paced, but for someone that wants a realistic shooter and doesn't mind about dodgy voice acting and bugs, then this is almost definatley worth a rent.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Xbox 360)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Xbox 360) review

Overall, not a bad game. A fairly short 'adventure' in my opinion, but a good family friendly game which kids AND parents will enjoy. Graphics weren't too bad, but at one point in the game Snape's face was... let's say, slightly disfigured. However, it can be slightly repetitive at times, but it's not so bad that it makes you come off the game. Worth a rent, but not really a full purchase - 3 Stars
