Timeshift (PS3)

Timeshift (PS3) review

A mediocre game. Poor story, poor graphics but it has a good time shifting game premise. Unfortunately the story is dreadful and the multiplayer is dead. The cutscenes are confusing and tell younothing. This game should be rented BUT DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!

Blacksite: Area 51 (PS3)

Blacksite: Area 51 (PS3) review

This game is way short. I started the game one afternoon and played for about 4 hours before realising that i was on the last level after I turned it off. The vehicle controls are crap as you only use the analog sticks and not the buttons for acceleration and break. However the story is ok so it is not a complete disaster, but do not play this game unless you have time to kill. Killzone, cod4 and battlefield bad company just outclass it in every way.

Saints Row 2 (PS3)

Saints Row 2 (PS3) review

This was a better game than I expected. At first I thought that this was going to be a washout and nowhere close to the grand theft auto series. The graphics are not as good but then I realised that it did not matter. The story was a bit more interesting as gangs are exterminated completely. Whereas in GTA the gangs are still around after there bases and leaders are obliterated, so Saints row is more realistic there. Also the game is longer than you might expect and there are many activities and extra jobs to do as well. Plus you can customize your cribs and character and there is a wide variety of weapons to entertain yourself with. So If you think GTA is the best by a long way than try this game and think again.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3) review

Brilliant conclusion to the metal gear solid series. I have played them all so it had a lot to live up to. Great ending to the story with an all battle and some unexpected surprises along the way. Third person shooter makes it a little bit more varied but there should have times, like in the other titles where you are discovered and game over. Great action and it livres up to expectations. Just two criticisms. Why is the movie at the end 45 minutes long. Plus why did it have to end here. It would have been nice to see it carry on with Raiden. To see a series like this end is sad. All everyone can hope for is that someone in he development team takes over. Worth playing and buying. If you have never played MGS1,2 or 3 though the story mught not make much sense.

Call of Duty: World at War (PS3)

Call of Duty: World at War (PS3) review

An average to good game but i wish it was longer. There are 15 levels but only the last two or three are even slightly long. The game's graphics were ok but other games such as cod4 and rainbow six vegas2 far surpass it. The game provides an average challenge on the normal middle difficulties. The game's last level was quite interesting as it built up to the end of WW2. A good game but in my opinion it's quite behind other games of the past year.

Resident Evil 5 (PS3)

Resident Evil 5 (PS3) review

A good game in most aspects and is worth 4.5 stars. A good story with new challenging bosses and enemies within the story make the game well worth playing. Within co-op mode it's much better. 3.5 stars is so underated. The Ai is slightly faster responding and the game is just as hard as resi4. One criticism is that on the hardest difficulty the Ai partner struggles to stay alive in boss battles or tough encounters. Play it co-op and you'll spends many hours having fun with a desire to reach the credits.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (PS3)

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (PS3) review

Read a lot of negative reviews for this game. Do not agree at all. Thought the graphics were good, better than the previous release. This game had plenty of new moves including being able to repel upside down and shoot at the same time. Only drawback was that it could have been a bit longer. The last couple of levels were a bit short. Overal I enjoyed playing this game and would recommend it to others.
