The Conduit (Wii)

The Conduit (Wii) review

This game is not a bad game but it is not an excellent game either. This is one off the best first person shooters on the Wii but that is not a hard title to claim looking at the Wii's library. The way i would describe the Conduit is that it is a first person shooter made from a manual on how to make a first person shooter, i.e. walk down hallway shoot enemies in room, find item to open door, more hallways and rooms with enemies and then boss fight - repeat. I did not have any problem with the controls but the game play was just to par for me to really enjoy the game so i have given it 3 stars.

Dead Rising (Xbox 360)

Dead Rising (Xbox 360) review

I love this game, its so simple yet brilliant and the whole sandbox of this game is the reason its so brilliant. I decided to get this game after my friend had said he played it and it was hilarious and so i saw it cheap and took the plunge. It was one of the best purchases i have ever made simply because of the replay value this game gives there are about seven different ways you can play this game e.g. kill all the zombies because there is a finite number of zombies or you could find the cause of the outbreak if you want. One of the things that i only found while playing is that every shop has something which you can use against the zombies including giant lego heads, lawnmowers even juice cartons its fantastic. This game is a must play just because of the hilarity of it.

Afro Samurai (Xbox 360)

Afro Samurai (Xbox 360) review

I did not like this game one bit even though i am a huge fan of the original Afro Samurai anime which i highly recommend. The problem which i have seen highlighted in other reviews is the repition basicly you bas X and Y repeatedly till enemies die. I also could not get over how stupid the camera was in this game, in hack and slash games the camera is always and issue but for some reason the decided to invert the controls giving the game a harder learning curve and a greater level of frustration. In my opinion if you want to slice up enemies play the new Wolverine game instead.

[PROTOTYPE] (Xbox 360)

[PROTOTYPE] (Xbox 360) review

I had my doubts about this game and so decided to rent it rather than going in to buy it straight out and I am glad I did. This game I think is the perfect example of a rental game as it is fun but does not warrant a purchase, I was pleasantly surprised though as I enjoyed it more than i thought. One of the main gripes I have with it are the dodgy button combos to perform some powers such as pressing X and B at the same time try and do that with your thumb. The graphics in this game are a hot topic surrounding it but the characters and powers are very nice and it is only the buildings and environment that let it down, however most of the time you are either fighting or moving so fast that you do not notice these graphical flaws. I have given this game 4 stars on the fact it was a RENTAL game but as a retail game i would have given it 3 stars.
