Scribblenauts (DS)

Scribblenauts (DS) review

Fun and NEW. At last a game that is totally different.... Aim of the game, collect a star per level. How you do it? Up to you. Let me give you an example of this game. There is a star up in a tree, you have to collect it, now what you do is type in ANY object you can think of and it will appear, so I type axe. I cut the tree down, collect star level complete. The idea though is to get style points, so I explored a little, a typed in beaver, low and behold a beaver came out of no where and chopped the tree, star is all mine. The novelty does run out i played this for around 5 hours on and off. Very orginal well worth a rent.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops (PSP)

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops (PSP) review

Kind of hard to get used to the controls. But thats if you used to playing it on the Playstation console. Once you get into it, its actually quite intense, instead of one big level its broken into different stages(if you will), each one has a different mission(all to do with the main story), its good because you can capture enemy soliders and convince them to be on your team, each one giving different skills. Its set just after metal gear solid 3 but to be honest you can get the idea of the story without playing the others. Good graphics and good sounds as well

Harvest Moon DS (DS)

Harvest Moon DS (DS) review

Not what I remembered, But back then I had alot more time, this game is good, if you have the time to repeat. Basically the more crops you grow the more money you get, the more money you get the more stuff you can do, cows sheep etc etc. THe thing is, its very repetitive at the start, and I do not have the patience, if you can battle through the first 5-6 hours of gameplay to get the ball rolling then this will turn out to be a good game, I just couldnt stomache it.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (Xbox 360)

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (Xbox 360) review

I just could not manage to get into this one. Problem with FPS at this present time is that their are ALOT of them out there, not alot of western ones though. But it seems like people just rush these things, problem with a western RPG is that you cannot really expand with nother but a six shooter and a rifle. Graphics are OK but if you look at what next gen stuff can do this is below par. Voice acting is like watching a bad impersinator as well. Reason for two stars is that you can have an old style western 1on1 shootout, although that isnt the best as well.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (PS3)

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (PS3) review

Overall a very good game, 1st thing I will say, its massive I am talking 100+hours easy spent on this game if you want to do it right. You get to choose from I think 6 different classes, there are loads of weapons and skills and magic. Its worth having a quick run through to see if you like it and also to learn the game and how things work then start again with a new charecter so you can do them right. I have also been playing this with a friend online- co-op which is great fun, dont even try it without a headset would be a nightmere. Also you can play this co-op on one screen as well, so dont panic if you dont have ps3 live. Only reason I drop it down a star is that It is a little glitchy and some points and you can argue the fact that it might be too big (but people like large things so you can decide for youself) I will be buying this game.

Killzone 2 (PS3)

Killzone 2 (PS3) review

Now this I liked. I am a huge fan of halo and COD but this for me gave the standard FPS a new edge, its nothing special in terms of freshness, it is your bog standard FPS but its done so well, focus on the basics and the rest will come. THe online is what really but the ice on the cake for me. Very well matched, feels like you are really in the thick of it. 5 Stars for this really really enjoyed it

Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3)

Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3) review

I played this game offline co-op with a mate of mine. We played it for around 4-5 hours and started to feel it was slightly repetative. Dont get my wrong, if you like a good FPS and are not bored of them then this game is good, I am unlucky enough to want something really different. This will be hard to explain and alot of back tracking......... The story is different World War 2 mixed with aliens, brill absolutly spot on with that. But the game play is just a typical shooter, but what do you expect. So if you like COD and killzone then get this because it is a great shooter, very fast, loads of guns and killing great storyline. If you want a FPS that is fresh and new in terms of gameplay. Not one to get. But hey thats what swapgame is all about trying stuff out. So why not. Wasnt a waste of time at all.

Heavenly Sword (PS3)

Heavenly Sword (PS3) review

This game I found was amazing, I am new to the playstation 3 and wanted to try the exclusive games, very fast game but it isnt just button bashing you actually need skill and style with this. Storyline is very well put together with great voice acting. Graphics were top notch with no slow down, I wont ruin anything but.... one fight there are 1000's of people on the screen and it ran very smoothly which i found was incredible. People say this game is short, but because it is slightly repetitive I found it was a good length so it didnt get boring. Not worth a buy just rent it. I completed it in about 8 hours 4 sets of 2 hours I found was the best way to do it.

Chrono Trigger (DS)

Chrono Trigger (DS) review

Absolutly amazing game. Great stoyline, I am not a huge fan of RPGS ie, final fantasy I feel they are very boring, a friend said I had to try this so I did, and I love it, It is a very entertaining RPG that will last a fair while, apparently there are like 8 endings that will happen all depends on how you play which will bring some reply value if you decide to buy

Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360)

Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360) review

Its okay, I suppose. Although it looks amazing and its an iconic beat em up, I still feel it lacks some depth, on the single player. Get some mates round and this game is totally different way more fun when there are people in the room with you. Very quick, can be funny at times. But I am just love Soul Caliber for the 360. Give It a try but done expect to rent it for long.
