Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Xbox 360)

Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Xbox 360) review

This isn't too bad a race game.... True there are a lot of other vehicles on the road... But hey its set in a city.. Surely you'd expect heavy traffic.. And for me this just added to the game not detracted from it. The first few vehicles handling are poor.. but as you gain more vehicles so the performance of these vehicles improve. The police.. Yeah they are quite a few around. But not impossible to lose and your radar warns you when your approaching a cop.. So all you need to do is slow down below the speed limit when you pass them and they don't chase you! This game needs to be given a little time.. 3-4 hours but once your pass the initial vehicles with poor handling things get decidedly good with various race meets taking place all over the city. Its not PGR 4 and not quite need for speed but a good racing game none the less.

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (PS2)

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (PS2) review

Hmmm. Castlevania. Loved it on the 8bit and 16bit systems. This is the first one ive tried on the next gen... And I was dissapointed. I played this for 2 hours, without dying once and was BORED!!! Its castlevania transformed to 3D and it just feels its lost its charm and grit the old games had. The monsters are too easy. The addition of Innocent Devils that you can conjure up are not much more than a gimmick and as a whole its just poor.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Wii)

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Wii) review

Not a bad game... Just not entirely suited to the WIIs control system. It would have been better being kept purely as the other console releases. Swinging the remote just doesn't work with this game. But a good romp if you can get over the awkward controls.
