Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) review

I loved this game, it's much better than the first Uncharted. The graphics are excellent and you are given a good choice of difficulty. Some games tend to be easy yet some are just too hard (for me!) but you are given the choice to play the way you want! It's full of action but some good puzzle solving. If you play on very easy you get lots of hints about where you need to go next, which is good for me as a 58 year old player! I did remind me a lot of 'Tomb Raider' in parts, but to me, that is not a bad thing as I love Tomb Raider. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and would recommend it to anyone.

The Godfather: The Don's Edition (PS3)

The Godfather: The Don's Edition (PS3) review

This game is a must for any Mafia fan! I personally think it is one of the best games I have played, there is so much to do, this game will keep you occupied for ages!!! If you like stealing cars, driving around and looking for new venues, and bribing police officers, taking over rackets etc you will love this!!

Folklore (PS3)

Folklore (PS3) review

Five minutes into this game I was sick of it! There are far too many cut scenes, and the battles are just repetative. I think it reminded me of a Final Fantasy game, (which I dont like, by the way). This could have been a good game, the graphics are excellent, but let down by the actual gameplay! Perhaps I didn't give it enough of a chance but, to be honest, I just couldnt be bothered with it

Tales of Symphonia (GC)

Tales of Symphonia (GC) review

This is a pretty standard RPG with nothing new to it. Much of the game appears to be battles, but I must admit, I didn't really get into the game. If you like such titles as Zelda and the Hobbit where you have just one main character then you might not like this one. There is also a lot of dialogue between characters which tends to slow things down a bit. On the whole, the game seems quite good for fans of this type of RPG

The Golden Compass (PS3)

The Golden Compass (PS3) review

This is a very unusual game. The first thing I noticed was that you can't see the screen from all angles. (Unless that's only me!). It has a variety of 'mini games' in deception mode which I found very annoying. On the plus side, the graphics are very good with some wonderful scenery. The game isn't exactly 'on rails' but you are very limited in which way to go, which means you can't enjoy exploring areas very much. I am near the end of the game but I think I might just give it up, as I feel I've had enough of it. I don't think its a game I would every consider playing again. I certainly won't be buying it.

Lost (PS3)

Lost (PS3) review

Very short game. Just as confusing as the TV show! Very annoying intro - trying too much to be like the TV show - cut scenes that you can't get rid of and you get sick of having to sit through them all. Quite entertaining but not really a game to really 'get into'

Assassin's Creed (PS3)

Assassin's Creed (PS3) review

I really loved this game. I know that some people have found it a bit repetative but I enjoyed having to go around finding things/people. And all of the quests don't have to be completed to progress in the game. I'd recommend it to those who like the Resident Evil/Legend of Zelda type game where there is a lot of running round looking for stuff. All in all I found it a very good game. I particularly enjoyed running around and jumping from roof to roof
