Ashes Cricket 2009 (PS3) review

Dull, dull, dull. I'm not a fan of cricket but thought (having read the previous review) I'd give it a go, what a mistake. Fans of the game may appreciate this but it really wasn't for me, even the 'quick' 20 overs games drag on and on and the training, there's only so many times you can hear Ian Botham and Shane warne tell you you've done something wrong before you could quite happily throw your PS3 at the wall. Sorry fans of cricket but my advice is if you don't follow cricket and understand the nuances and subtleties of the game then don't bother with this.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 (PS3) review

Quite a good game, although I do agree that your probably better playing it on a PC as the interface is easier to use (it's just a bit fiddly when your trying to rush build). Nice graphics and good cut scenes (with a huge ammount of cleavage) may the game fun and the inclusion of trophies will keep you going for a while (if you're anything like me that is!) but long term the missions tend to get a bit samey. Didn't try the online mode but that may also add to the longevity. A good rental but probably not one to buy.
