Top Spin 3 (Xbox 360)

Top Spin 3 (Xbox 360) review

I am impressed! A tennis game is actually quite playable - and makes you want to improve to beat the high quality players. Online I got well and truly thrashed .... so much more practice required! Plenty of players, gear, courts and tournaments to work your way through. I like it!

Rock Band 2 (Xbox 360)

Rock Band 2 (Xbox 360) review

It's not exactly Rock Band 2 ..... more like Rock Band 1.2! The developers have produced a much improved game - which even pulls in all the songs from Rock Band 1 and any downloaded songs (if you have any) so rather than having different collections of songs on various versions - they are all here! Improvement no. 1! Improvement 2 - now you can form a band for career mode online - so have a virtual band from all over the world! Improvement 3 - drum tutor ! A good addition! Other minor improvements have been made to make it more attractive / with more features. I like the challenges that are constantly being updated. If you have Rock Band 1 - get this. If you have none but like Guitar/Drum/Vocal based games - get Rock Band 2. I own it - and love it!

FIFA 09 (Xbox 360)

FIFA 09 (Xbox 360) review

As a fan of the FIFA series there's nothing not to like about this latest version. Some enhancements - although I fail to see the 250 enhancements EA claim to have made. Love it though. I can represent my beloved Nottingham Forest againts the giants of the World! Great online gameplay. Great "be a pro" feature has been enhanced. Love it!

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 (Xbox 360)

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 (Xbox 360) review

Tiger Woods 08 was very good ..... 09 is even better! Enjoyable and accurate gameplay - i've found a couple of minor issues but not that distract from the game or cause inaccuracy - just little niggles. Great game! Rent it ....... or even Buy it - I did!

BOOM BLOX (Wii)

BOOM BLOX (Wii) review

Great fun - plenty of variety - a bit like a mix between Jenga, kerplunk, shooting gallery - with great fun multiplayer and single player play. Well worth trying - and most who try it will love it! One of the finest wii games currently available.

Endless Ocean (Wii)

Endless Ocean (Wii) review

How slow is this game? Yes, I appreciate the nature of the game - but it's slow load and slow gameplay get quite frustrating at times. Graphics are ok, but I expected much better. In it's favour - it is "different" and a pleasant change from violence in games - but not enough to make it worth a purchase.

Beijing 2008 (Xbox 360)

Beijing 2008 (Xbox 360) review

Best Athletic game ...... not perfect - but with crisp graphics, a huge range of events and great presentation it's a very good game! Some of the events (eg diving/gymnastics) is tough to control - having to rotate the left stick one way at one speed and the right stick in the opposite direction at a different speed. Good fun - online has a bit of a lag and can turn into a long winded affair!

Sports Island (Wii)

Sports Island (Wii) review

The problem with Wii games is that there are too many coming out that seem to promise so much and deliver so little. This is one that delivers well below par - the games are basic, with little user skill involved and although the graphics are "nice" the gameplay is poor. Strange mix of "sports" - a nice advert for Adidas!

Donkey Kong Jet Race (Wii)

Donkey Kong Jet Race (Wii) review

Ok, so it is different in terms of the control system (hitting bongo drums to speed up and steer!) but offers little new or impressive racing gameplay - and Mario Karts Wii is a far better racing game! Also, the action required to speed up / steer gets a bit tiring after a while! Ok though, and gameplay of a standard expected for a Donkey Kong title.

Grand Theft Auto IV (Xbox 360)

Grand Theft Auto IV (Xbox 360) review

It's ok. I tried this game out on rental as I was not prepared to take the risk in buying a game that I felt over-hyped. The hype is greater than the game - the game is ok but full of bad language, violence and wrong doing to a point that it crosses the line as far as I was concerned. I wouldn't buy it but it was worth a look to see what all the hype was about.
