The Hobbit (XB)

The Hobbit (XB) review

Unfortuneately, this isn't my type of game. The graphics look like they should really be from a GBA, this really is a game for the young ones I think. I would have liked to say it was a bit of a hack and slash fest put I could only play it for about a minute before reaching for the off button.

I've only gotted to the first "boss" fight, but this game is really really good. If you watched and liked the film you will probably enjoy the game too. It is a fighting game and it does seem to be very faithful to the film (remember, I've only gotten to the first meeting with Li Mu Bai). You start off in the streets and in general, you have to fight 2 or more guards at a time. But do not worry about it as you have the Green Destiny and all of the wire work effects from the film are fully available to you in the game. Running across the walls, up the walls, jumping from roof top to roof top. Recommended.

FIFA Street (XB)

FIFA Street (XB) review

It is good and the new idea is well recieved but I think the game play can get a bit repetative. After all there is only so muc you can do on a small pitch with 4 a side. (3 outfield plays + keeper) It is wuite good to play and not too complicated to start doing tricks. I think this game will really shine when you've got the lads round and start a little tournement. Good game great new concept!

Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)

Gran Turismo 4 (PS2) review

In my opinion, the only good thing about GT4 is the graphics, they are truly amazing. I could not speak highly enough of them, brilliant. (The graphics is the only reason I didn't give it 1 star!) It was a great pity that the rest of the game wasn't as stunning. It seems to be that if you are really a total racing nut who understands all the physics of it and have realism as a major issue in your driving games then this is the game for you. The cars I tried driving round the track where being played with the ace of understeer (even the Mini Cooper). I couldn't go round a single corner without skidding off. It was also nice to see a range of cars including older muscle cars, such as the ever famous Shelby GT300 and the good old 'cuda. For me, this just makes Underground 2 the top racing game for pure playability.

The Punisher (XB) review

I'm not very good at writing but what an excellent game, really cool. If you liked the film or love action you should love it. Grab people and threaten them til they give you information. Spin em round and use them as a human shield they when your finished perform a quick kill. The game really grabs you and you want to play more and more all the time.

SWAT: Global Strike Team (XB)

SWAT: Global Strike Team (XB) review

Not as good as the Swat3 game on PC. Graphics are a bit remind me of arcade games. But good bit of fun to play. Lead a 2/3 man team. Order Jackson to defuse bombs, breach doors, hack computers etc. Use nightvision, flashbangs CS gas to arrest the terrorists and save the hostages.
