X-Men The Official Movie Game (Xbox 360)

X-Men The Official Movie Game (Xbox 360) review

This game is a testament to what people will subject themselves to for the sake of gamerscore, This is a culmination of every stereotype of a lazy movie tie-in, from clumsy cameras, oblect clipping and spotty hit detection. That being said, if you want easy points, your not really burning yourself buying/renting it... merely the few hours of your life wasted...

New Super Mario Bros. (DS)

New Super Mario Bros. (DS) review

The classic Nintendo method of subtly evolving a classic works wonders again. It is familiar enough to evoke all the nostalgia of the old NES games, but modern enough to be enjoyed in its own right. One of the better games Nintendo has fashioned in several years.

Enchanted Arms (Xbox 360)

Enchanted Arms (Xbox 360) review

Deriviative, well and truly. The characters vary from uninspired to borderline offensive. and the combat system is a lifeless amalgamation Pokemon and the Tales series. When I first played this I tried to stomach through as it was the only JRPG on 360, aand even the lack of an alternative could keep me playing.

Burnout: Revenge (Xbox 360)

Burnout: Revenge (Xbox 360) review

Though currently bested by shiny open-world Burnout Paradise, Burnout Revenge still has fantastic racing, hyper realistic crash physics, and truthfully a superior crash mode. Even if you already have and or played Paradise, you should still give this one a chance, jsut to play a more structured Burnout experience, and the excellent crash mode.

Phantasy Star Universe (Xbox 360)

Phantasy Star Universe (Xbox 360) review

Though it just didn't grab me like the original PSO, and in this day and age I refuse to pay additionally for online play (especially for a game I do not own), PSU was a rather nce blast to the past. The single player is great, however, loot hunting is hard to justify if you can't show it to other people. Essentially that crossed with additional charges killed the opportunity for PSU to fill the place in my heart left by its predecessor those years ago.

Micro Machines V4 (DS)

Micro Machines V4 (DS) review

Originally swapped out to give my son something to play as I grew up on the original Mega Drive version and loved it, unfortunately this did not work out, as the game was so stupid-hard that even I could only get so far. The collection aspects are interesting, but poor controls and wonky DS 3D pushes this game into unplayable territory. the PS2 version is still stupid-hard, but considerably more playable.

Disney Presents a PIXAR film: Cars (Wii)

Disney Presents a PIXAR film: Cars (Wii) review

Another game rented for my (at the time 4 year old son) though he could not do any of the races, he loved just wandering around Radiator Springs and hearing quips and quotes from the familiar cast. Not much here for grown-ups, and now the boy is addicted to Burnout, but definitely filled a niche at the time. In fact I 'wasn't allowed' to send it back! Wish 'keep it' was available back then!
