Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3) review

Being a massive fan of Call Of Duty from the start I thought it was going to be strange going from World War 2 to the modern day era. However it is absolutely amazing!. The locations are different and a lot better than the previous COD games with places like Russia and the Ukraine being the main settings as opposed to the usual Normandy setting used in the previous ones. One level has amazing atmosphere when you take to the streets of Chernobyl. The weapons are the state of the art, so expext the best in modern technology at your disposal. The enemys A.I is amazing where they still have the ability to shoot you even when they are down on the ground. Action is chaotic and non-stop as you would expect at at time can be difficult. The gameplay so is so good you wouldn't mind trying the sections again to be able to progress further. Graphics are superb and the lighting effects and character models are so realistic. Mulitplayer is also excellent with so many different game modes including Free-for-all, Team Deathmatch, Team Objective, Team Tactical, Search and Destroy, Headquarters, Domination, Sabotage, Team Hardcore, Old School, Oldcore and Ground War, all of which can be played online or on a split screen. Only slight thing to make better could be a multiplayer option on campaign mode but overall one of the best games around and the best COD game I've played so far.

The Simpsons Game (PS3)

The Simpsons Game (PS3) review

I thought this game was really good! Great graphics, storyline, jokes, clips and even collectibles with comic book gut comments. It takes the mickey out of other games and in doing so makes it a whole load of fun. The powers are great also with Bartman, Lisas powers with the saxophone and the hand of buddha, Marge rioting against Grand Theft Scratchy and Mayor Quimbys bribe. Homers turning into a gigantic ball and being filled up with helium to float upwards. Also fun levels including the tree cutters, the natural history museum, the eating contest, the alien invasion and the parallel video game world. Leading up to a level invading Matt Groenings mansion. It features all the characters you can think of and also gives you the chance to explore Springfield. It is basically a TV show, a movie and a video game all built into one.

Call of Duty 3 (PS3)

Call of Duty 3 (PS3) review

I actually really enjoyed this game. Plenty of action from the get go. Switching between the British, Americans, Polish and Canadians fighting the Germans in the battle of Normandy. I have yet to play COD 4 or Modern Warfare 2 at this stage so I can see why people wouldn't have enjoyed as much. But fun levels driving a tank and a jeep. And 14 fun missions to do in total. Score I give is 4/5.

darkSector (PS3)

darkSector (PS3) review

This is a very good game! The game starts off you are a regular soldier on a hunt to assaninate the main enemy. You then get captured and get injected with a virus which makes you half mutant and giving you the ultimate weapon for the whole game. For its price to buy it's very good but doesn't take long to finish. Not as good as Resident Evil but still a very good game.

WWE Legends of Wrestlemania (PS3)

WWE Legends of Wrestlemania (PS3) review

Very good game! If you're like me and was a huge fan in the 90s then you will also love this as you relive the classic matches from old WrestleManias. Including Hogan v Andre, Hogan v Warrior, Austin v Bret Hart, Austin v Rock etc. Each match you hav to achieve points where you do a specific action to what happened in the match in real life. Also you create your own character to take on the legends. If also you have S v R 2009 you can transfer to wrestlers over. But very enjoyable game.

Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (PS3)

Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (PS3) review

This is definately the best out of the Lego game I've played. Lots of variety which is lacked in the other ones and not so repetitive. Also tells the stories of the three Indiana Jones movies very well with a bit of humour. Also plenty of bonuses to unlock and extra levels to keep you going. Very good game.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (GC)

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (GC) review

Metal Gear Solid for me is still one of my favourite games of all time that I owned on the PS1 so with that in mind I was always going to enjoy this game. The graphics have been made a whole lot better making it look outstanding and the storyline is still fantastic. For anyone like me who has played the original a million times will finish it in a few days as the strategy to beat each boss and each section is the same. But for me still the best storyline out of all the Metal Gear games. Definately recommend!.

Dead Space (PS3)

Dead Space (PS3) review

This game is probably one of the best and scariest games I've ever played. From start to finish you are constantly on edge waiting for something to jump out at you as you're making your way around the ship. Also has a fantastic storyline to go with it. Fantastic graphics with excellent detail. Can't wait for the sequel!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (PS3)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (PS3) review

This game is really enjoyable as all the Harry Potter games so far have been. It's a fairly straight forward game which doesn't take long to get through the storymode. The whole game is basically made up of making potions which is good fun, playing a quidditch and lots of duelling with other students and death eaters. There are loads of extras to get involved in including a potions club and duelling club to enhance your skills and gain lots of achievements. Also theres' the challenge of locating all the crests located all throughout Hogwarts. Overall 4/5

LEGO Batman: The Videogame (PS3)

LEGO Batman: The Videogame (PS3) review

This game is fun. I would say with this game unless you wish to get a full 100 percent and unlock every secret then to buy otherwise unless like me you wish to just do the story the rent as doesn't take long to do. The problem I have is like all lego games can get a bit repetitive. But the fun part is aftre you finish the story as Batman and Robin you the can switch and play as the villains in the game. But overall a 3/5.
