Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) review

Great game, the graphics ain't top notch but its the game play that makes this game stand out. I had hoped the series had not gone stale, and it sure ain't. There is so much to do, from being a pimp of a vigilante to just getting on with the various missions or just run around killing and nicking motors. The range of vechiles is great from cars and trucks to motor bikes and even tractors. Overall a great game that can be played for hours.

F1 04 (PS2)

F1 04 (PS2) review

Not a bad game, but not great game. The graphics are top notch and the realism is great, but in career mode thats where the realism is a bit tough. It takes a while to master and you would have to be great at the game and know all tracks well to get into a top team. Overall a ok game that i would play again, but not too often.

Colin McRae Rally 2005 (XB)

Colin McRae Rally 2005 (XB) review

A great game. The realism is great and a grapihcal master piece. The career mode is great and really helps you to master the game and get into some great cars. Overall this is a great game that would be played very often and should be a part of driving game lovers collections.

Aliens vs Predator: Extinction (XB)

Aliens vs Predator: Extinction (XB) review

A very good game, not what i expected, but that's a good thing. You play as either the Marines, Aliens or the predators. You have various scenarios to complete and a bit of an unreal target time, but you can go over this. There is a very good tutorial which helps you master the basics of each group. Overall a game with some very good longevity and worth playing again.

Ghostmaster: The Gravenville Chronicles (XB)

Ghostmaster: The Gravenville Chronicles (XB) review

You play as the ghosts and have to scare the mortals out of various different buildings. There is a tutorial which guides you through some basics. Not a game i'd want to play to often, but may suit others tastes. The games scare missions seem easy but take some mastering. Overall a game that may be left out more than played.

Mario Party 5 (GC)

Mario Party 5 (GC) review

We approached this game with a lot of expectation and within 5 minutes of playing it we were soon very disappointed. The game boards are too short and in story mode, unless you have a few mates playing, you play against three mini bowsers which are quite easy to defeat. All in all this was a poor game.

Pikmin 2 (GC)

Pikmin 2 (GC) review

Wow, this game is a step forward from the first Pikmin. The first improvement is the lack of a time limit, this means you can now explore at your leisure. Next there is the introduction of your side kick Louie, this means you can now go off in two groups each with your own group of Pikmin. Then there are the sub-terrainial levels, each with a final level boss. The improvements don't stop there. There are now two new colours of Pikmin each with new abilities. You still have the Reds, Blues and yellow, but even they have changed a bit. There is a two player battle mode and a challenging challenge mode. All in all this is a great game and stretches out beyond the original.
